Popovers
I had a dream last night about bread... I blame the baby ;) I really wanted popovers so I looked up recipes and found THE EASIEST recipe on the planet! It's 4 ingredients, and one of those is salt!!
Ingredients
2 eggs1 C all-purpose flour
1 C milk
1/2 tsp salt
How To
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Grease and flour six 6-ounce custard cups. **We only made 3 this time, but it still worked great!**In a medium bowl beat eggs slightly, Beat in flour, milk and salt until just smooth; being careful not to overbeat. Fill custard cups 1/2 full.
Bake at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) for 20 minutes. Decrease oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for 20 minutes more. Immediately remove from cups and serve piping hot. **I only cooked them for 15 more minutes at 350 and they were still piping hot and delicious! Not quite as "pop"-ish as I'd like, but still yummy and fluffy :)
